Wer auf Wanderungen an kalten, trockenen Tagen ein Mehr an Wärme sucht, sollte sich den neuen, winddichten Daunenmantel YAKIMA DOWN COAT von JACK WOLFSKIN mal genauer ansehen: Er bietet Wärme bis über die Knie und wiegt trotz seiner Länge und der sehr guten Wärmeleistung nur 970 g (Größe M). Was den Mantel neben der 80/20er-Daunenfüllung so warm macht, ist das winddichte Außenmaterial; es beschützt das wärmende Luftpolster, das die Daunen bilden. Zudem ist es sehr atmungsaktiv und wasserabweisend. In den exponierten Bereichen (Kapuze und unterer Saum) wärmt Jack Wolfkins neue, extrem warme Wattierung MICROGUARD MAXLOFT. Zusätzliche Ärmelbündchen aus Fleece halten Wind und Kälte fern. Mit dem Gürtel kann der Mantel außerdem noch mal näher an den Körper gebracht werden.

In spite of its length (down to the knee) and its very good insulation performance, the coat weighs in at just 970 g (size M). What makes this coat so warm, apart from the 80/20 down fill of course, is the windproof shell fabric, which protects the down and allows it to achieve its full loft. The fabric is also very breathable and water repellent. At the more exposed areas of the hood and hem, an extremely warm MICROGUARD MAXLOFT thermal interlining provides the insulation, while cold block fleece cuffs prevent wind and cold penetration. The belt allows the coat to be cinched in snugly according to whim or weather.
